They say no trip to Dublin is complete without a trip around the Guinness factory. Well for any self respecting football fan the same is true of the Aviva Stadium tour.
In between a liver threatening number of pints of the black stuff, I managed the latter and must say I was rather impressed.
Completely rebuilt between 2007 and 2010 on the original Lansdowne Road site, and granted UEFA Elite Stadium status in 2011, the Aviva Stadium is home to both the Irish football and rugby teams and can hold a whopping 51,700 (probably tipsy) fans.
The guided tour takes you through all of the press areas, changing rooms, tunnel, pitchside and also gives you a view from the upper tier. Not bad for 10 Euros!
