England manager Gareth Southgate has admitted that his World Cup squad are massive fans of famous British reality show, Love Island.
Southgate has been in the news for some major reasons in the past weeks following his decision to not even include Newcastle star Jonjo Shelvey in his World Cup squad after an impressive performance.
However, today the England manager is in the news for popular British show and was asked if he would be watching the show.
The 47-year-old said that his team are highly interested in the show and are big fans of the Love Island, but he is NOT!
Reporter at Sky Sports, Anton Toloui interview Southgate asking via Express: “Two things they (the players) have mentioned they are doing away from the pitch are Uno and watching Love Island.
“Are you involved with either of those?”
“Certainly not Love Island, no! I’ve got a lot more of time I want to get back in my life than watching that,” The Manager answered.
“But I’ve seen them in the medical room in particular watching it.
“They’ve got all sorts of games going on.”
“We’ve tried to split this camps up so they’ve had a bit of time at home as well because they’re obviously going away for a long period from next week,” he continued.
“But they enjoy each other’s company, a lot of them are a similar age with a lot of them being in the junior teams together.
“Even the older ones make it really easy for the real young ones to come in.”
