Who Is Going Where? The Summer Transfer Merry-Go-Round

It’s been a strange summer thus far.

There has been loads of football on the telly, we’ve had a good few hours of sunshine under our belts already and there has been precious little news to get excited about on the transfer front.

The much anticipated summer transfer merry-go-round which normally accompanies the drizzle at this time of the year has seemingly yet to kick in and with the countdown to the new season now well underway it must surely be time for some chairmen to get their proverbial chequebooks out.

Whilst much of the footballing world ponder over whether Ronaldo or Sanchez will be picking up the phone to Pickfords Removals anytime soon, I’m more interested in the fate of some of the England stars possibly on the move.

There is always a lot of money changing hands at the bookies this time of year as football fans try and find something (anything?!) to bet on.

Fancy a flutter on guessing where some of England’s stars will end up at the end of the transfer window?   Here are the latest odds from netbet.co.uk.

Joe Hart

Just about clinging on as England’s number, Joe Hart will be looking to put last season behind him and cement his place as the number one choice at a Premier League club again.

West Ham 6/4

Man United 9/2

Chelsea, Liverpool or Man City 5/1

Newcastle, Brighton or Villa 14/1

Kyle Walker

The Spurs full back had a great year for club and country last year and has been linked with a move away from Spurs since the end of the season.   Despite his name being included in many stories he’s yet to put pen to paper.  Inevitable or staying put?   The bookies seem to think it’s a two horse race…

Man City 20/67

Spurs 2/1

Bayern Munich 16/1

Chelsea 18/1

Wayne Rooney

Another player who has been linked with a move away from his current club since a long time before the end of the season is former England captain Wayne Rooney.  With the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic seemingly also uncertain it’s very much up in the air as to whether Manchester United and England’s all time leading scorer will up sticks and enjoy one last move.

Manchester United 6/5

Any Chinese Club 6/4

Everton 8/5

Any MLS club 8/1
